Darlene Patricia (Bobek) Echols, 59, of Inverness, FL passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at her residence in Inverness. She was born in Chicago, IL on August 26, 1966, and arrived in this area in 2011, coming from Holiday, FL. Darlene was a dedicated homemaker, and loved spiritualism. Her and her husband Winston Joseph Echols had just celebrated their 9th wedding anniversary. They had met 30 years ago and were plutonic roommates. Then 13 years ago, they re-met and have been together ever since. Darlene was a very devoted wife and friend, as well as a loving daughter and mother. She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Bobek. Darlene is survived by her loving husband, Winston Joseph Echols of Inverness, daughters Chelsea Echols of Clearwater, FL, and Candice Echols of Anna Maria Island, FL., estranged son Joshua Bobek, her mother Patricia Bobek, and her brothers Mark and Mike Bobek. As per her request, there will be no viewing or service. Her urn will be placed at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at a later date.
