Maria Herminia O’Brien, born in Cuba on April 25,1939 peacefully passed at age 87 on May 6, 2026, at Compass Rose in Lecanto.
She was daughter of the late Basilio Mendoza-Munoz and Ines Santos Mendoza.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband William who deceased in 1997, and Gerardo Tirone (Gerry) who deceased in 2017.
Left to cherish her memory are loving sons:, William O’Brien & wife Marlene of Lecanto; Shane O’Brien & wife Sally of Cooper City; and Marcus O’Brien of Inverness; 5 grandchildren: Jeffrey, Christian, Sean, Aiden & Trevor; and 1 brother David and sister both in Cuba. Gerry’s children: Gerardo Jr, Angelo, Michael & Anna Tirone, Michelle Puluse & Maria Levenstein, and 21 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Family & Friends will gather on Friday May 29th, 2026 @ 1P.M. at Chas E. Davis Funeral Home 3075 S Florida Ave Inverness, FL 34450. Preceding after burial we will have a celebration of life at Compass Rose 279 N Lecanto Hwy Lecanto, FL 34461
