On April 19, 2026, Jean left us to join her Lord and Savior in heaven. She passed away peacefully at HPH Hospice of Citrus with family by her side.
Jean was born in Miami, Florida, in June of 1954, the 4th of 6 children in the family. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.
After she graduated high school, she attended college receiving her Bachelor’s degree. Her first job after college was with the airline, Air Florida. After her employment with Air Florida, her interests were focused on the travel industry. She then went to work for Globus and Cosmos Tours. Then the last company before retirement was with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.
During her career, in 1998 and 1999 she was recognized as one of the “200 Most Powerful Women in the Travel Industry”. During the scope of her career, she saw every part of the world.
Jean was always passionate about family and getting together with family and friends. She was famous for her Halloween Celebrations.
In her retirement she didn’t slow down. Jean loved to go thrifting; flipped a few houses; and did some cruising.
She is predeceased by her mother and father, Ella and Robert Kenning, her brothers, Anthony and Richard, and sister, Deborah.
She is survived by her Husband of 45 years, Duane, and two sisters, Mary and Robin, and many nieces and nephews.
It should be recognized that in the last months of her life, Life Care Center of Citrus County and HPH Hospice of Citrus County were kind and passionate caregivers for Jean.
At her request, there will be no services or memorials. Her cremation request is being handled by Charles E. Davis Funeral Home.
