Roy Francis Hannaman

 Roy Francis Hannaman, of Inverness, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026, under the care of HCA Citrus Hospital. He was 81 years of age. Roy was born in Austin, Minnesota to the late George and Joyce (Holgate) Hannaman.

Roy moved to Florida in 1979, and in 1980, while living in St. Petersburg, he met Kathleen Mary (Koziuk) Hannaman. They then married in December of 1981. Roy and Kathy moved to Inverness once she retired from the State of Florida, and he worked as a general contractor.

Roy was preceded in death by not only his parents, but also his loving wife Kathy Hannaman, daughter, Joyce West, brothers Paul and Joe Hannaman, and great grandson, Nicholas Hannaman. Those left to cherish his memory are his sons Tracy Hannaman (Brandy) of Lutz, FL, William Cobb (Meghan) of Alaska, and Joe Slavik and Tim Cobb, both of St. Petersburg, FL; daughters Lisa Sherman of Zephyrhills, FL, Wendy Hannaman of Alabama, niece, Jennifer Bell (Greg) of Inverness, FL; sisters Marian and Jane Vaassen, Ann Laird (Joe Frederick), Joyce Hannaman; brothers, James, David, and George Hannaman; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Roy’s urn will be laid to rest with Kathy’s in the Florida National Cemetery on Thursday, May 7th, 10:00 AM with full military honors.

Arrangements are in the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Cremation Care, Inverness.

    Roy, you will be missed very much. I know Aunt Cookie is sure happy to see you. I enjoyed spending time with you and Aunt Cookie. I would have loved for the two of you to stay on Earth a little longer but I guess it wasn’t up to me. Rest in peace I will especially miss making you laugh. I love you😘
