Maria Toney, 93, of Inverness, FL, passed away Friday, April 3, 2026, at VITAS Hospice in Lecanto, FL. She was born in Flushing, NY, on November 10, 1932, to the late Michael and Clotilde (DeSemone) Della Rocca. Maria worked as a secretary and arrived in this area in 1973 from Bay Shore, Long Island, NY. She was Christian by faith.
Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Gene B. Toney who passed away early in her life, and by her longtime partner of over 30 years, Howard Ringheisen, Jr. She was also preceded in death by her son, James F. Cummins, and her brother, Arthur Della Rocca.
She is survived by her children Karen Marie Cummins, Susan Cummins (Allen) Cochran, Barbara Cummins (Larry) Foellmi, Linda Cummins (Doug) Connors, Robert J. Cummins, II (Teresa), and Douglas E. Cummins (Sherri); her brother Louis Della Rocca; 24 grandchildren; and 43 great‑grandchildren.
