Robert Fredrick Malpica Jr., 75, of Inverness, FL passed away Monday, March 30, 2026 at his residence in Inverness. He was born in Queens, NY on October 19, 1950 to the late Robert and Helen (Lorenz) Malpica, Sr. Robert was a convenience store supervisor, and arrived in this area in 1987, coming from Long Island, NY. He was a volunteer Inverness fireman for 15 years. Robert enjoyed fishing, music, repairing computers, but most of all, spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Malpica. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Barbara Malpica. Other survivors include his children Robert Malpica of San Antonio, TX, and Robyn Radke of Bay Port, MN.; brothers Charles, Bruce and Roger Malpica; sisters Christina Hixon and Diane Raughter; and 5 grandchildren: Owen 22, Zach 22, Josh 20, Olivia 18, and Tina 14. “We will love and miss you always…until we meet again.” Private cremation arrangements by Chas. We had a lot of fun really my mother and dad always go to the beach always have a picnic so I are doing some kind of sport and of course as we get older, we drift a pot, but I never drifted a pot from you. Unc had Two beers in one hand reached down with the other and sat me back up and to this day I still remember what he said, “stick around for awhile kid!”
