Linda Anne McAuley, age 78 of Inverness, FL passed away suddenly on March 22, 2026 at home. Linda was born in Liberty, NY on February 25, 1948 to the late Robert P. and Ethel (Husch) Stewart, and moved to this area 9 years ago from Oswego, NY. She was a retired educator and taught elementary students for over 30 years. She was a faithful attendee of Calvary Chapel.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 54 years, Jackie “Jack” McAuley; 2 children: Mark McAuley and wife Ailen of Bluefield, WV; Melanie Hansen and husband Eric of Ocala, FL; 1 brother, Paul Stewart of New York State and 1 sister, Susan DeCastro of The Villages, FL; 2 grandchildren: Haylie and Jack and 2 great grandchildren, Marcelline and Laken. Linda was predeceased by a sister, Frances Stewart. She also is survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 1:00 PM from Calvary Chapel Church with Pastor Kevin Ballard officiating. Following cremation, Linda’s cremains will be buried in Sandy Banks Cemetery, Spencers Corners, PA.
There will be a viewing at the church from 11:00 AM until the services begin.

Very sweet lady her and her husband jack were very kind and loved their family. rip.
We spent many happy days together. Linda was a very special,loving person. My heart hurts for the family she left behind. May Jehovah, the god of all comfort, hold you in his loving arms during this difficult time.
So sorry to hear of Linda’s passing. She was a wonderful cousin and such a devoted teacher. Condolences to all the family. She will be missed.

We are saddened to hear of Linda’s passing. We pray for the repose of her soul in heaven with our Lord and may God’s Peace shine down on Jack and her entire family. We have such fond memories of Linda. She was an amazing teacher, coworker and friend. We miss her.
