Joyce Lynn Dodd, age 71, of Inverness, died at HCA Citrus Hospital in the early morning hours of March 6th, 2026. Born in Massillon, OH, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Earl and Helen Veralene (Mullins) Higginbothom.
Joyce arrived in Citrus County from Melrose, FL in 2010. At the time of her death, Joyce had been employed as a court reporter in the Florida Court System; a job she did for 15 years.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was predeceased by her brother, Jerry Lee Higginbothom of Blue Ridge Summit, PA. Left to cherish her memory is her devoted husband of 12 years, Robert F. Dodd; her children, Laura Marissa Ferro in Illinois and Shane Christian Siegel in Florida; and 6 grandchildren.
Joyce served honorably in the U.S. Army. Her final resting place will be in the Florida National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
