Linda Fay Dixon, 68, of Inverness, Florida, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at VITAS Hospice in Lecanto, Florida.
Born on April 2, 1957, in Tampa, Florida, Linda was the daughter of the late Marion Eugene Reams and Betty Grizzard Reams. She dedicated her professional life to caring for others as a Registered Nurse, a calling that reflected her compassionate heart and quiet strength. Linda moved to Citrus County in 1987 from Tampa, where she built a life rooted in family, friends, and community.
A woman of Baptist faith, Linda found joy in the simple and meaningful moments of life. She loved camping, boating, and traveling, and especially cherished time spent with her family. Her dogs always held a special place in her heart. And nothing brought her greater happiness than her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 24 years, Gerald L. Dixon III, whose memory she carried with her always.
She is survived by her loving children: Amanda (Robert) Brooks of Inverness; Sarabeth (Allen) Geddes of Orlando; Randall (Bessie) Jacobs of Orlando; and Chris Dixon of Ocala. She is also survived by her brother, David Reams; her sisters, Elaine Mulder, Tammy Lodato, and Jeannie Ciccarello; and her cherished grandchildren, Nathan, Briana, James, David, and Elijah.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory in Inverness, Florida. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 p.m., with a memorial service starting at 3:00 p.m.

My dear cousin, you were an amazing mom, sister, cousin, and friend to so many. You had the most radiant smile. I’m so sorry that our plans to spend time together next month didn’t happen. Instead, I will be celebrating your life with our family. Thank you for being such a supportive and loving cousin.
