Robert Edward Nicholson, age 95 of Hernando, Fl passed away at home on December 19, 2025. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 17, 1930 to the late Richter and Avis (Hedgepeth) Nicholson and came to this area in 1985. He served our country in the U.S. Navy.
Bob was a retired service engineer in air conditioning. He also was a member of the Masonic Lodge in New Hampshire.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Muriel (Rothney) Nicholson of Hernando; 3 sons: Scott Nicholson of Leesburg, FL; Keith Nicholson of Lecanto; Gary Nicholson of Hudson, NH; 1 sister, Doris Boyer; 5 grandchildren, Scott, Kira, Kami, Leah, and Sydney and 11 great grandchildren, Annabelle, Avery, Amber, Ryan, Joshua, Samuel, Carlie, June, Holly, Levi and Lainey.
Graveside services with military honors will be offered at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Friday, January 23, 2026 at 11:30 AM. The family will receive friends at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home from 9:30 until 10:30 AM, at which time the procession to the cemetery will line up.
