Dawn Marie Klug, 69, of Floral City, FL passed away September 25, 2025 at James A. Haley VA Hospital in Tampa, FL. She was born on September 10, 1956 in Charleston, SC to the late George and Elizabeth (Krauss) DePina. Dawn was a talented painter, weaver and loved to attend art shows, as well as a U.S. Navy veteran. She arrived in this area in 1979, coming from Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Dawn enjoyed art shows, weaving, traveling, and civil war re-enactments. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Jason & Elisabeth Klug of Hernando, FL; brothers James and Richard DePina; and 2 grandchildren Theodore and Geoffrey. Dawn’s urn will be laid to rest with military honors at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at a later date. Private cremation arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.

Dawn was a very special lady. She was so knowledgeable about so many things. I loved talking to her and visiting with her. She will be missed .

I am an SCI veteran and Dawn was my roommate on several occasions. I am an artist too, so that connected us quickly and she was always so encouraging. May she rest in peace.
