Judith A. Williams

Judith A. Williams, a shining light on this Earth, has gone to be with her heavenly family. Judy passed peacefully, at home with her daughter Michele at her side on September 4, 2025. Born January 1, 1941, she was a native of Tampa, FL. Judy resided in St. Petersburg for many years before making Citrus County her home in 1984.

She and her late husband, George, were builders and developers. Judy traveled the world. She was known for her love of family, life, humor, hard work and beads.

Known as “The Bead Lady” Judy owned and operated “A Bead in the Hand” bead store in Inverness for many years. Judy loved to fish. She was also a music lover, especially “The Joshua Tree” by U2 and CCR. Not many people know that Judy was “a high roller” in Vegas. Judy was a member of the Elks of Inverness. As an Elk, she had many friends and great times.

Judy is survived by her three daughters; Kay, Cindy, and Michele. She also leaves her brother, John; sister-in-law, Sue; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Judy was preceded in death by her husband, George; son, Butch; brothers, Sonny and Charlie; and grandchildren, Spencer, Miranda, and Jude.

At Judy’s request, there are no funeral services planned. She is now a constant star. Her light is not extinguished; it shines bright in the heavens with our family and Our Lord.

Private cremation with Care arrangements by Chas E. Davis Funeral Home.

Judy, you will be missed. We met the year you open your bead store in Inverness and it helped me develop a new hobby, which 15 years later, I’m still enthralled with. We became friends and you gave me good advice, and offered the occassional kick in the pants when I needed it, but you always remembered the important things we talked about. Talk about a mind like a steel trap! I thank you for your friendship and care through the years. I wish and pray for peace and comfort to your family. With love, Nancy C.

Judy will always be remembered for the lady that she was. She was a beam of light and will continue to shine down upon us all. I’ll definitely miss her quirky sense of humor and her words of advice and like Nancy said even a kick in the butt if you needed it.. Judy always knew how to just cut to the point and tell you what you needed to hear. I find peace in knowing she’s now in the home that our Lord has prepared for her with her husband George., and probably enjoying some of heaven’s most beautiful beaches with her son Butch, and a few grand-babies on her lap…
Judy, I’ll forever miss your smile and your laughter. Until we meet again, please keep shining down upon us. I’ll look for you in the night sky.. 🤍
