Doris “Peggy” Wilson

Doris “Peggy” Wilson, of Inverness, Florida, passed away on June 24, 2025 under the care of Vitas Hospice in Lecanto, FL.  She was born near Waynesboro, PA, daughter of Charles W. Rabette and Susan L. Rabette, and was preceded in death by her parents and nine siblings.  She was also preceded in death by her husband of thirty seven years, Frank  D. Webb and daughter Charlotte A. Eubert (Tom).  She is also preceded in death by husband of thirteen years, Henry I. Wilson.

Surviving are children, Jeffrey D. Webb (Pam), Darlene Wacher  (Otto), Ronald Wilson (Barbara), Richard Wilson and  Paul Wilson.  There are surviving seven dear grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, countless nieces and nephews, and cherished family and friends who shared many happy years with her.

Peggy was a conscientious and active member of the Methodist Church since 1938 and a member of the Inverness First United Methodist Church since 2009.  Throughout the years she found immense joy serving her community and church whenever needed.

There will be a Celebration of Life scheduled at a later date in both Florida and Maryland.  Burial of the urn will be in Harbaugh’s Reformed Church Cemetery near Midvale, PA.  Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home With Crematory.

    We were neighbors to Peggy and Henry in Westminster MD. Such wonderful and caring neighbors. We have very fond memories of Peggy and Henry. Praying for her family.
