Walter George “Bud” Osborn

Walter George Osborn, “Bud”, of Inverness, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025 under Vitas Hospice care in Lecanto. He was 85. Bud was born in Berkeley, NJ to Walter L. and Dorothy Swalgen Osborn. He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force, and has always been a very proud patriot. He owned and operated a restaurant for many years. Although Bud was a very private person, he was always extremely active in civic organizations and was always in the know of what was going on in his town. He moved to Inverness from St. Petersburg in 2001. Bud was a wonderful companion, friend, father to his step-children, and grandfather to his step-grandchildren. Those left to cherish Bud’s memory are his life partner of 42 years Nancy Harclerode of Inverness; daughter Denisa Manion of Inverness; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by their son Tim Collins. Private cremation arrangements are under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Cremation Care, Inverness.

    Bud was a friend to everybody. Always had stories to tell. He will truly be missed. We worked with him with the Too Far Organization for many years. He was always there to help out. Rest in peace, my friend.
