Paul Sasser

Paul Max Sasser, of Inverness, passed away under Hospice care in Lecanto on Thursday, May 16, 2024. He was 91. Paul was born in Brantley, AL to Jepp and Christine (King) Sasser. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War and was stationed in Japan for three years. As a career, Paul worked for National Service Industries and worked his way up from route-man to Regional Vice President. He and LaVera moved here in 1988 from St. Pete, and have been active members of the Floral City Church of Christ.
Those left to cherish Paul’s memory are his loving wife of 69 ½ years LaVera Sasser; his son Mike Sasser (Elaine) of Covington, GA; his daughters Paula Lancaster (Mike Smith) of Maryland, NY and Dianne Cates (Mikell) of Savannah, GA; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held for Paul on Sunday, May 26, 2024 at 2:00 pm, with full military honors, at the funeral home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Burial will take place at a later date at the Sasser Church of Crist Cemetery in Brantley, AL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations please be made in his memory to the Wounded Warriors Family Support 11218 John Galt Blvd #103, Omaha, NE 68137, or to the Floral City Church of Christ. Arrangements are under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Cremation Care.
