Carl Bove

Carl V. Bove, 78, of Inverness passed away at home under the loving care of his family on April 24, 2024. Carl was born in Philadelphia, PA on September 2, 1945 to the late Vincent and Rose (Albano) Bove. Carl’s family then moved to Florida. He graduated from South Broward High School and then attended the University of Florida. He was an avid sports fan, always rooting for the Gators and Dolphins. He played, coached and umpired softball and children’s soccer teams. Carl and his wife Sharon owned and operated a wallpaper and window treatment business. He also collected and sold antiques. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 56 years, Sharon; his daughter Michele (Mario) Cortopassi; his sons Brian and Brent Bove of Athens, GA; grandson, Christopher (Trinity) Cortopassi; granddaughter, PFC Isabel Cortopassi (US Army); and grandson, Wyatt. In addition to his parents Carl was preceded in death by his sister Maryann.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the Vitas Healthcare and nurses, especially Amee, and the cancer specialists. Cremation arrangements are under the care of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
