Phillip E. Ewald, 81, of Homosassa, FL passed away Saturday, April 20, 2024 at HPH Hospice in Lecanto, FL. He was born in Adrian, MI on March 31, 1943 to the late Ellsworth E. and Jean (Schmitz) Ewald. Phillip was a truck driver and arrived in this area 63 years ago coming from Adrian, MI. He served our country honorably in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed truck driving, fishing and guns. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 25 years, Teresa Ewald, and one son, Jeff Ewald. Survivors include his children Joseph (Audrey) Davenport of Dixon, Missouri, Billy Bishop of Homosassa, Travis Davenport of Seneca, SC, Tammy Ewald of Tyler, TX, Jamie Barton and her fiancé Derek West of Homosassa, and Lisa Ewald of Detroit, MI; brothers George (Cindy) Bishop and Dale Ewald; sister Jane Ewald; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; and his beloved dog Emma. Private cremation arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
