Joe Dale Pagan, age 85, Floral City peacefully passed away September 9, 2023
Joe was born in Slick, OK on June 23, 1938 to the late Everett and Pearl (Jones) Pagan. He retired as a Rural Mail Carrier for the U.S. Postage Service, working out of the Brooksville office for 32 years. He served our country in the United States Navy, working as an aviation electronics specialist.
Joe served his church as a deacon and treasurer at Ft. Cooper Baptist Church where he and his wife Yvonne are longtime members. Previously, Joe helped establish the New Testament Baptist Church of Floral City and served as deacon and treasurer. He also served at Eden Baptist Church as the Sunday School director and deacon for over 11 years. Joe was known to his fellow church members as hardworking, dedicated, and a faithful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. He always believed that God played a major part in his daily life. He also enjoyed woodworking in his spare time.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 63 years, Yvonne Martin Pagan of Floral City; son, Johnnie Joe Pagan and his wife Terri of Inverness, FL;
3 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Naomi “Marie” Spencer, whose husband Mike still survives. He also lost a grandson, Jared Dale Spencer.
A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Ft. Cooper Baptist Church with Pastor Marne Palmani officiating. Burial will follow in Lake Lindsey Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 9:30 AM until the service starts. The Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home is assisting the family
