Lawrence Frederick Collard, Jr., 83, passed away on July 7, 2023 at home in Inverness, under the loving care of his family and HPH Hospice. Lawrence was born on August 10, 1939 in Minerva, NY, to the late Laurance F. and Edna (James) Collard. He served his country in the US Air Force. Lawrence was a retired painter in the construction industry, coming to Citrus County in 2005 from Chaplin, Connecticut.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years, Irene Morse Collard; son, Patrick E. Collard and wife Susan, of Piedmont, SC; daughters Janice A. McLaughlin and husband Chris, of Coventry, CT, Laura L. Nye and husband Bob, of Columbia, CT; his brother David Collard of South Carolina; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Potters Funeral Home, Willimantic, CT on Monday July 24 at 10:00AM. Arrangements are under the care of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness.
