Larry Gene Vick, 82 of Inverness passed away February 2, 2022 at Citrus Memorial Hospital. Larry was born in Meigs, Georgia on November 20, 1939 to the late James F. and Melva (Pennington) Vick, and came to Citrus County in 1977 from Thomasville, Georgia
Larry worked with his cousin Rayford Vick of Midway construction in Citrus County for over four years. As well, Larry was an equipment operator at Florida Power for over 18 years and a member of the Trinity Baptist Church.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of over 61 years, Dorothy Myra Vick; his 3 sons: Dennis J. Vick and his wife Nicole, of Inverness, Donald L. Vick of Inverness and Alan G. Vick and his wife Angela, of Hernando; five grandchildren; Trista Brooks, Megan Vick, Bryan Vick, Alyssa Vick, Spencer Vick, and several great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his brother, Douglas M. Vick and granddaughter Lillian Vick.
Larry loved his boys and believed them to be the best in business for their chosen career field. He loved his family and was passionate about a daily call to touch base if only to say, “I love you”.
A Service of Loving Remembrance for Larry, will be conducted on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the Trinity Baptist Church at 11:00AM with Pastor Jerry Bloxton, officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the care of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
