Shirley E Patneaude

Shirley Elizabeth Patneaude, age 76, of Inverness, FL passed away at Citrus Memorial Hospital on Sunday, December 2, 2018. Shirley was born in Groton, VT on April 23, 1942 to the late Albert Neil and Elizabeth Frances (Page) Achilles. On August 31, 1963 she married Richard Patneaude with whom she shared 55 years of loving marriage. Prior to her retirement in 2004, Shirley had worn many different hats in her professional life. She had been employed as a clerk in two separate law firms, worked for a publishing company for a time and then went to work for the United States Postal Service in their computer forwarding system. Shirley and her husband Richard made Citrus County Florida their home in 2011 after relocating from Vermont and attended worship services at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Inverness. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting, crocheting and gardening. Shirley also enjoyed fishing and shooting.

In addition to her loving husband Richard, those left to mourn Shirley’s passing include her sons: Jeff Patneaude and his wife Kelli of Royce City, TX, Larry Patneaude and his wife Heather of Yarmouth, ME; daughter, Carol Perrin and her husband James of Randolph Center, VT; siblings: Ken, James, Norman and Evelyn; and grandchildren: Nicole Perrin and Christian Patneaude. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Neil.

A Celebration of Shirley’s life is planned for Friday, December 7, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Reverend Greg Kell of Cornerstone Baptist Church officiating. Friends are invited to join Shirley’s family in visitation beginning at 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
