Nancy L. Gutierrez of Lecanto, FL, born January 4, 1947, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. Nancy was loved dearly by her husband, Herb, of 23 years and her four daughters and their families. She was a dedicated employee working many years as the assistant manager at the Lecanto Circle K as well as a school bus driver for Hernando Elementary School. Nancy was also an active member of the Citrus County Spanish American Club, serving as a board member.
Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Miller, her mother, Margaret Miller, and brother, Joe Miller. She is survived by her husband Herb Gutierrez, brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Janet Miller, brother, Bob Miller, daughter, Susan Berliner, daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Scottie Lee, daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Richard Speedling, daughter and son-in-law, Kristen and Keith Singleton, step-daughter Eva Ponko, and five grandchildren: Sarah Lee, Kaelyn Speedling, Bailey Singleton, Brady Singleton and Delaney Bromberek. The family would like to thank the home health aides, in particular Nancy Watts and Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast.
Funeral Services for Nancy will be held at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home in Inverness, on Friday, February 23, 2018, at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until service time.
