Robert L Sjokvist

Robert LeRoy Sjokvist, 82, of Inverness, FL passed away January 18, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, FL. He was born in Dover, New Jersey on March 15, 1935 to the late Engelbrekt A. and Anna E. (Arkie) Sjokvist. Robert was a U.S. Navy veteran, and a Tech Data Technician at the Picatinny Arsenal in Morris County, NJ for 34 years. He arrived in the Inverness area in 2002, coming from Wharton, NJ and was Presbyterian by faith. Robert was an avid golfer. In his free time, he enjoyed watching sports, the outdoors, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a very patient, caring, and loving man with a great sense of humor and will be missed by those who loved him. Robert was preceded in death by his loving wife of 41 years, Joan P. Sjokvist, and his brother, Alfred Victor Sjokvist. He is survived by his daughters, Karin Morgan of Palm Harbor, FL, and Krista Sjokvist of Inverness; and 2 grandchildren, Chloe and Krista Morgan. A Memorial Service for Robert will be held in New Jersey at a later date. Afterwards, his urn will be laid to rest at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Tamaqua, PA. Private cremation arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
