Thelma Mae Chase, 96, of Inverness, FL passed away January 1, 2017 at Crown Court in Inverness. She was born in Lakeland, FL on June 21, 1920 to the late G.B. and Ethel Marie (Martin) Quick. Thelma was a homemaker, and arrived in this area in the early 1990’s, coming from Largo, FL.
She was a Presbyterian by faith and attended 1st Presbyterian Church of Inverness. Thelma enjoyed golfing, gardening, and loved sewing and crafting.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 5 years, Warren Chase in 2006. Survivors include her son James W. Smith and his wife Evelyn of Crestview, FL, and her daughter Jacquelyn Hutchison and her husband Alexander of Inverness; her sister Mavis Thomas of New Port Richey, FL; 5 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Private cremation arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
