Marjorie Mae Belcher, 96, Inverness, FL passed away April 4, 2016 at her residence under the care of Nina Moore, her caregiver, family, and Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast. She was born on August 20, 1919 in Worcester, MA to the late Albert and Florence (Marcus) Wheeler.

Marjorie was a head teller in the banking industry, and a Methodist by faith. She arrived in this area in 1976, coming from Weymouth, MA. She enjoyed meeting new friends and talking with family and friends. She was an avid reader and enjoyed shopping, flea markets, and entertaining.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Donald Belcher in 2002, and by her sister Rachel and brothers Albert and Frederick Wheeler. She is survived by her daughters Barbara (C. William). Hilliard of Brockton, MA, and Bette (G. Phillip) Tevis of Dallas, TX; 4 grandchildren: D. Bryan (Stacey) Hilliard and Barry (Kristin) Hilliard of MA and Gregory (Mary Reid) Tevis and G. Christopher (Jennifer) Tevis of TX. Also survived by her eight beloved great-grandchildren: Duncan, Ryan, Owen, Evan and Sarah of MA and Pierce, Andrew and Caroline of TX, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, April 16 at 11:00 A.M., at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Weymouth, MA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast, PO Box 641270, Beverly HIlls, FL 34464.
