Nellie M. Blackburn, 82, of Inverness, FL died on November 11, 2015 with her loving husband by her side and under the care of Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast. Nellie was born on Februray 10, 1933 in Cincinnati, OH.
On August 19, 1971 she wed Harry Blackburn with whom she shared 44 years of marriage. They moved to Citrus County 18 years ago from Wilmington, OH. Nellie loved the game of golf and enjoyed playing golf with Harry. She also enjoyed gardening. While Nellie had no children of her own, she had many wonderful pets throughout the years that she loved dearly. In addition to her husband Harry, she is survived by one stepson, R. Scott Blackburn of Lebanon, OH; and two step-grandchildren, Jennifer and Becky. The Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is assisting the family with private cremation arrangements.
