Frances Safranek Stewart, of Wisconsin Dells, WI and formerly of Floral City, FL passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 in her Wisconsin Dells home. Fran was born on May 2, 1929 in Pulaski, WI to the late Jan and Anna Luberda.

She lived for many years in Wisconsin, Chicago, IL and Carpentersville, IL as well as Clearwater, FL and Lake Panasoffkee, FL. Fran had many different occupations throughout her lifetime. Besides being a wife and mother, she was a factory worker, private housekeeper and bartender. She and her first husband had owned Clem’s Bar in Plainville, WI, near Wisconsin Dells. She also volunteered at St. Vincent De Paul resale store. Fran loved to travel, collect sea shells, gardening, raising canaries and polka music. She would always cook a meal for anyone who came to visit her.

Survivors include her children, Clement L. (Karen) Safranek, Linda (Martin) Carr, Sandra (Ron) Dearman, Chester Safranek, Jeffrey (Brenda) Safranek, Susan (Dudley) Hagan, and Robert (Lynn) Repenning; 20 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; brother, Mitchell (Delores) Luberda; sister, Valentina “Babe” Rodgers, many nieces and nephews and her dog, Tippy. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clement M. Safranek (24 years of marriage); second husband, Wallace Stewart (married 32 years); nine brothers, six sisters, nieces and nephews, and one great-grandson.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Redlin Funeral Home, 401 Madison Avenue, in Baraboo, WI. On Friday, November 20, 2015 a graveside service will be held at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL at 2:00 p.m. The Chas E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness, FL is assisting the family with arrangements.
