Russell Eichhorn, 61, Inverness died Jan 22, 2015 in the Hospice Unit of Citrus Memorial Hospital. Russell was born on July 2, 1953 in Clearwater, Florida to the late Leo and Margaret (Hooker) Eichhorn and moved to this area from there. He was employed by Grant’s Plumbing Company for 37 years and attended the Inverness Church of God. Russell enjoyed NASCAR, woodworking, and participating in Little League Baseball and Citrus High School football while his sons were growing up.
Russell is survived by his wife of 43 years, Karen Morris Eichhorn; four sons, Ted A. (Crystal) Eichhorn; Tony R. (Rebekah) Eichhorn; Cody Eichhorn, and Andy Eichhorn, all of Inverness; two brothers, Wesley of Inverness and Richard “Dickie” Eichhorn of Hernando; two sisters, Louise Mock, Kinston, AL and Martha Ann Corne, Citrus Springs, FL; 8 grandchildren.
Russell’s Celebration of Life will be on Tuesday, January 27th at 11:00 AM from the Chas E Davis Funeral Home with Pastor David Lucas and Pastor Larry Powers of the Inverness Church of God officiating. Burial will follow in Hills of Rest Cemetery, Floral City. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 9:00 AM until service time.
