Maureen Alice McCoy, 76, Inverness passed away Nov 11, 2014 at the Hospice of Citrus County Unit in Citrus Memorial Hospital. Maureen was born April 27, 1938 in Astoria, NY to the late Gerard and Alice (Ford) McCoy and moved to this area in 1996. She retired from the Amalagated Insurance Company in New York as an Auditor with 30 years of service. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish. She was a graduate of Cornell University with a degree in Business Management; a member of Inverness Elks Lodge, Inverness Does Drove, and the VFW Auxillary.

Maureen leaves to mourn her loss two sisters, Patricia and Kathleen McCoy, both of St. Petersburg; brother in law, Dan Schromm, St. Petersburg; a brother, Edward Franzone, Tarpon Springs; 10 Nieces and Nephews and many Great Nieces & Nephews, and many close and devoted personal friends and many God Children. Additionally, “Aunt Mo” will be missed by the twins, Brock and Blair. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gerard J. McCoy, Jr.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Nov 15th at 1:00 PM from Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Interment will be at a later date in Oak Ridge Cemetery. There will be no funeral home calling hours. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, donations to your favorite charity in Maureen’s memory.
