JOHN FRANKLIN WEST, age 63, Inverness, FL and West Salisbury, NC died April 16, 2014 at Citrus Memorial Hospital. John was born on April 12, 1951 in Salisbury, NC to the late John Belvin and Mary Louise (Snyder) West. He was employed as a truck driver for a mobile home company. John enjoyed collecting various items and also liked listening to old music and working on old cars. Left to treasure his memory is his wife of 23 years, Opal West and his sisters Judy West Devries and husband Jim of Morganton, NC and Delora West Crowell and husband Ernest of Salisbury, NC, several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life and tribute service will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory. The family requests donations to the Key Training Center Foundation, 1315 N. VanNortwick Road, Lecanto, FL 34461 in lieu of flowers.
