Sophia F. Vose

Sophia Frances Vose, n’ee Strenkowska, died August 8, 2013 at her home in Inverness, FL. She was born and reared in the Bridesburg section of Philadelphia, PA and she raised her family in NE Philadelphia. She worked at Frankford Arsenal during WWII. Sophia was a devoted wife and mother, an amateur artist and enjoyed crotcheting, gardening and cooking. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Sophia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bertrum K. Vose, her daughter, Joan Marie Bennett and grandson, Sean Patrick Moran. She is survived by her daughters: Bea Kathy Lopez of Florida and Susan Hrin of New Jersey; her grandchildren: Christina Hrin, Diana Lloyd, David Moran, Erik Hrin, Candace Lloyd, Bridget Moran, Tara Moran, Matthew Bennett and Daniel Bennett; her great-grandchildren: Somer, Keegan, Gabriel, Riley, Ellie, Christopher, Colleen and Katie. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at the St. John Cantius Church in Philadelphia. Burial will follow at the Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem, PA. Slabinski Funeral Home will be assisting the family with arrangements in PA. Local arrangements are under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness.
