Raymond “Bill” “Raymie” LaBumbard
\nOur Raymie passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, February 1st, at the age of 86, after
\na brief illness.
\nHe was born and raised on the family farm in Litchfield NY. When he left the family
\nfarm Raymond married his first love, Patricia Miner. After 4 children and 20+ years of
\nmarriage, they divorced. He later married his wife and business partner, Norma Cook.
\nHe made so many lifelong friends and memories behind the bar at Bill’s Valley Inn and
\nwith their circle of motorcycle friends. After Norma’s passing in 2001, Bill took to the
\nroad to seek new adventures, heading out West to spend time with his sister.
\nEventually ending up on his favorite place, the Sunshine State of Florida. This is where
\nhe found his last love, Linda Vojtash. He and Linda spent time enjoying life, traveling,
\nand playing the slots, with many trips to Biloxi MS and of course Las Vegas. We can’t
\nforget the many friends he made in their neighborhood of Castle Lake and the local
\ninternets around the area.
\nBill had several jobs throughout his life, making valued friendships at each one. He
\nworked at Chicago Pneumatic, Hyck Trucking Corp, to name a few. He spent many
\nhours in the cab of a tractor trailer, driving cross country and later doing local runs,
\nhauling “doubles” across the state. Finally retiring from Continental Bakery aka Wonder
\nBread in 1998, after 25 years.
\nRaymie leaves behind his fianc\u00c3\u00a9 of 20+ years, Linda Vojtash. His “baggage” of 4
\nchildren, Donna (Dennis) Milsten, Waynesboro VA\/Portugal, Nels LaBumbard of West
\nWinfield NY, Marcia (Mike) McNamara, Bridgewater NY and Linda Williams, West
\nWinfield NY, along with 8 grandchildren, 4 (almost 5) great grandchildren and many
\nnieces and nephews.
\nHe was so proud of his family and despite the differences he loved them all!
\nBill was predeceased by his parents Nels and Lucy (Trenary) LaBumbard, along with
\nhis 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
\nServices will be held at the convenience of the family in West Winfield NY. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home With Crematory assisted the family<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
