He was born in Wilmington, OH on February 13, 1953. Daniel was a Maintenance Supervisor in the retail industry, and a U.S. Navy veteran. He arrived in this area in 1989, coming from Loveland, OH, and enjoyed fishing, was a great musician, loved landscaping, and had a great sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his wife Sharon, his mother Wilma Malott, and sister-in-law Kim Moon. Survivors include his father James (Becky) Malott of Milford, OH, daughter Angela (David) Strickland of Lawtey, FL; siblings Cindy (Jim) Katsetos of Loveland, OH, Doug Moon of Jacksonville, FL, Connie (Steve) Ayers of Georgetown, OH, and Jamie (Tina) Malott of Milford, OH; grandchildren Eric Strickland of Jacksonville, FL, and Danielle (Wyatt) Hicks of Lake Butler, FL; and great grandchild Walker Hicks. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Graveside services for Daniel will be held on Monday, February 20, 9:30 am at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL where military honors will be rendered. The procession to the cemetery will depart the funeral home at 8:45 am. Arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness.
