Rollie LeRoy Budd, age 84, Inverness, FL passed away February 2, 2021 in Citrus Memorial Hospital. Rollie was born in Hopewell, FL on November 23, 1936 to the late Rollie Lamar Budd and Bertie (Boone) Budd and came to this area in 1958.<\/p>\n
He served our country in the U.S. Navy and retired from the Citrus County Sheriff’s Department with over 25 years of service following his Naval career. He was of the Baptist Faith. Rollie was an avid hunter and fisherman, fishing from Florida all the way to Alaska. He grew the best vegetables which he shared with his family and neighbors. Folks called from all around asking his advice on how to farm. Rollie was a wonderful father, father-in-law, and Papa “Pop”. Additionally, he was a great friend and certainly will be missed by all who knew him<\/p>\n
Left to mourn his loss are his wife of 62 years, Marjorie (Baldree) Budd, Inverness, FL; 3 sons: Robert Lamar (Doreen) Budd, Kenneth Van (Shannon) Budd, and Michael V. (Donna) Ketchel, all of Inverness; 7 grandchildren: Justin, Amanda, Chelsie, Lauren, Sierra, Anna Grace, and Breanna; 3 great grandchildren: Luke, Selah, and Logan. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Heyward and Robert Budd.<\/p>\n
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 4:00 PM from the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Dr. Douglas Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:00 PM until the hour of service.<\/p>\n
