Charles Ralph Harvey, 81, of Inverness, FL passed away August 12, 2018 at Arbor Trail Rehab & Nursing in Inverness. He was born in St. Augustine, FL on October 17, 1936 to the late Merrell Augustus and Ella Fair (Griner) Harvey.<\/p>\n
Charles was a retail store manager and a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict, achieving the rank of Specialist 5th Class. He arrived in this area in 2012, coming from Orlando, FL, and was a Methodist by faith. Charles was a member of the VFW Post #4337, Inverness, as well as the American Legion and Loyal Order of Moose.<\/p>\n
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Bernice E. Harvey in 1991. Survivors include his companion Betty L. Doran of Inverness; daughters, Lisa Ogle and her husband Mike of Pelican Bay, TX, and Denise McClanahan of Woodlands, TX; brothers Mel Harvey and Wayne Harvey; and 3 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister Merrell Edwards.<\/p>\n
Services for Charles are scheduled for Tuesday, September 4, 2:30 P.M. at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation’s in Charles’s memory to Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast, P.O. Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34464.<\/p>\n
