Yvonne Dena Puro, 74, Inverness passed away at home on March 3, 2017. Mrs Puro was born April 8, 1942 in Detroit, MI to the late Leo J and Margaret (Ackley) Gietzen and moved to this area from Algonec, MI. She was a homemaker and a long time member of V.F.W. Post 4337 Ladies Auxiliary. Yvonne also enjoyed being a member of the Inverness Chicks, and the Red Hat Society and loved to dance and sing Kar-a-o-ke. Yvonne also enjoyed gardening and decorating her home for Christmas and sharing it with everyone.<\/p>\n
She is survived by 2 sons, Dale A. Puro, Richmond, MI; Darrell J. (Cindy) Puro, Algonec, MI; 2 daughters, Deborah Vanderhagen, Chesterfield, MI; Darlene R. Spiney, Key West, FL; 2 sisters, Linda (Chester) Sturgess, The Villages, FL; Therese (Doug) Wilmot, Lewiston, MI; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Puro on March 19, 2012 and her daughter, Donna Hernandez.<\/p>\n
A Celebration of Life Service is planned for Friday, March 10th from 12 Noon to 2 PM at the V.F.W. Post 4337 in Inverness. Service will be followed by a luncheon. Yvonne’s urn will be laid to rest at a later date in Florida National Cemetery. Cremation arrangements were under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home With Crematory.<\/p>\n
