ADKINS, age 80, Inverness, died April 25, 2015 at his residence under the loving care of his wife and the staff of Hospice of Citrus and Nature Coast.  A native Floridian, Jimmie was born on August 31, 1934 in Homosassa to the late Willie D. and Willie (Grau) Adkins.  He was employed by Lockheed Corporation as a safety engineer.  Jimmie enjoyed fishing and hunting and was an accomplished woodworker.  He was a 34 degree Mason and a Shriner.  Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 38 years, Gertrude Adkins; sons James C. (Teresa) Adkins, LaGrange, GA, Robert P. (Joann) Adkins, Inverness; stepdaughters Rebecca (Doug) McCrea, Altamonte Springs, FL and Dawn L. (Mike) Renninger, Melbourne, FL; his brother Tommy and sister Donna, both of Tampa, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a brother Ray Adkins. A celebration of life and tribute will be announced at a later date.  Chas. E.
