Sowell"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>JOHN R. &#8220;JOHNNY 99&#8221; SOWELL, age 50, died April 26, 2014 at Citrus Memorial Hospital. Johnny was born on May 3, 1963 in Pinellas Park, FL to Bernard and Memory Jo (O&#8217;Neil) Sowell. He was the owner\/operator of his own commercial trucking business. Johnny enjoyed fishing, but his real passion was race car driving and he was a favorite figure-8 driver at the Citrus County Speedway for many years in Car #99, and according to his family, the &#8220;craziest driver&#8221; as well. Johnny will be missed by his life partner, June Hinds; son Dakota Sowell, Lake City, FL; granddaughters Mariah Marie Sowell and Blakely Ann Sowell; his father Bernie Sowell and his companion, Linda Black; stepson Travis Hinds; stepdaughter Tara Hinds; brothers Jimmy and Ricky Sowell and sisters Glenda A. Massey and husband Scott Massey, Marla Hoffman and Shelly Sowell and last, but certainly not least, his beloved dog, Winston. A celebration of life and tribute to Johnny&#8217;s life will take place on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home. The family invites friends to join them for a time of visitation from 2:00 PM until the hour of service. Please consider donations to Hospice of Citrus County, P.O.
