Born on December 27, 1937, in Orocovis, Puerto Rico, to Felix Rodriguez Santis and Elena Colon, Luis lived a life marked by hard work, deep faith, and love for his family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He is survived by his sons, Ruben Rodriguez of Ocala, Florida, and Luis Rodriguez Jr. of Waukegan, Illinois; his daughters, Maria Fernandez of Ocala and Eneida Bermudez of Boynton Beach, Florida; along with nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carmen Julia Rodriguez, and his son, Ivan Rodriguez. Luis shared a special bond with his brother, Bolivar Rodriguez, with whom he walked through many of life\u2019s milestones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A man of strong faith and conviction, Luis was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and a passionate student of the Word of God. He served as a Bible teacher and preacher and founded a thriving church in Palatine, Illinois. He built his home on the foundations of faith, hospitality, and family. Despite facing great hardship and poverty in his childhood, Luis worked tirelessly to provide for his loved ones. He began his career working in factories and later owned his own landscaping company beginning in 1980. Known for his warm sense of humor and quiet strength, he will be remembered as a faithful provider and a man who loved the Lord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A memorial service to celebrate Luis\u2019s life will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2025, at 12:00 noon at Calvary Chapel Inverness, 960 US 41, Inverness, Florida. Reverend Bolivar Rodriguez, Pastor Georgette Rodriguez, and Ivan Rios will officiate. Burial will follow at Hills of Rest Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 AM until the hour of service.&nbsp; The Chas. E.
