Kaloyanides"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Born in Arlington, Massachusetts, Kal was the son of the late Kosta and Thalia (Kacoyanis) Kaloyanides. He arrived in Citrus County from Pepperell, MA approximately 20 years ago, initially spending his first several years as a part-time Florida resident before making it his home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kal proudly served his country in the United States Army, including service during the Vietnam War and later in Desert Storm. He continued his service with the Army Reserves. His service was a meaningful part of his life and reflected the quiet strength, discipline, and integrity he carried into everything he did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He was a 1\/5 owner and Vice President of Operations and Human Resources at the family-owned New England Coffee Company in Malden, Massachusetts. A proud third-generation member of the business, Kal helped carry forward the family legacy while balancing leadership with his unmistakable humor and perspective on life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Left to cherish his memory are his children: Amy (Kenneth) Brunelle of Dunstable, MA; Jason Kaloyanides of Arlington, MA; Matthew (Kristy) Kaloyanides of Cumberland, RI; and Ryan (Brittany Sancrante) Kaloyanides of Homosassa. Kal was married to Ellen for over 40 years, and even after their marriage, they remained close\u2014an enduring reflection of mutual respect, shared history, and deep family bonds. He is also survived by his partner Janice Alden of Floral City, FL; eight grandchildren, with one more on the way; and many extended family members and friends who will miss him deeply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He found joy in life\u2019s simple pleasures\u2014time on the water, afternoons on the golf course, traveling, and most importantly, time spent with family and friends. Kal was known for his quick wit, sharp sense of humor, and unforgettable one-liners that could light up any room and leave people laughing long after. He was also known for his generosity\u2014famously beating everyone to the check.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He lived fully, laughed easily, and brought warmth and humor into everyday moments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A memorial service with military honors will be held on Friday, August 7th at 2:00 PM at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home at approximately 12:30 PM, with a procession departing around 1:00 PM. Arrangements are in the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Cremation Care, Inverness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kal will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
