Sandy passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at age 75. Sandy was born in Kane, Pennsylvania on March 29, 1951, and grew up in the Rochester, NY area.

Sandy met Frank Beare in 1973, and they married in September 1976. They built a wonderful life together and raised their family in Honeoye Falls, New York, and then in Livonia, New York. Sandy worked as a dental hygienist in the Rochester area for many years. She and Frank loved camping, and they would usually camp in the state campgrounds all over New York.

Sandy and Frank moved to Inverness, Florida in 2018 after spending several winters in The Villages with Sandy’s mom in the years prior. In Inverness, Sandy loved organizing and being involved in the social events at the clubhouse, including pot-luck meals, holiday dinners, playing bingo and other games, and attending women’s lunches. One of the things she enjoyed most in life was meals surrounded by friends and family. Sandy was also a faithful Christian, and she and Frank had started attending the Hernando Church of the Nazarene.

Sandy was preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis Cleghorn; stepfather Blaine Jacox; and brother William “Billy” Fowler. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of almost 50 years, Frank Beare of Inverness; her daughter and son-in-law Jennifer and Brett Ketterman of Seaford, Delaware; her son Mike Beare of Rochester, New York; two grandchildren Bethany and Jesse Ketterman; and stepmother Myrna Jacox. She was also loved and will be missed by her extended family and many friends.

Sandy had an infectious, unforgettable smile that would light up the room. To know her was to love her, and she will be greatly missed. A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the Hernando Church of the Nazarene, with Rev. Andy Heer presiding. Arrangements have been entrusted to Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Cremation Care, Inverness.

The family will be planning a memorial gathering in New York in the coming weeks. Details of that event will be forthcoming.

It is with heavy hearts and gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Sandra K. “Sandy” Beare, of Inverness.
