{"id":120135,"date":"2026-04-07T14:24:11","date_gmt":"2026-04-07T14:24:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chasdavis.com\/wordpress\/?p=120135"},"modified":"2026-04-10T14:33:07","modified_gmt":"2026-04-10T14:33:07","slug":"franklin-albert-brown-jr","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chasdavis.com\/wordpress\/2026\/04\/07\/franklin-albert-brown-jr\/","title":{"rendered":"Franklin Albert Brown, Jr."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Franklin Albert Brown, Jr., <\/strong>age 90 of Brooksville, FL and formerly of Elmira, NY passed away April 7, 2026 in Tampa General Hospital-Brooksville.&nbsp; Frank was born in Elmira, NY on November 15, 1935 to the late Franklin Albert and Mable (McNett) Brown, Sr.&nbsp; He retired from the St. Petersburg Times Newspaper as a Security Guard and served our country in the U.S. Marines Corps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 43 years, Betty Shortridge Brown; 3 daughters: Faith Brown Patterson and Bonnie Brown Robinson, both of Clearwater, FL; Geraldine Brown Barner of Elmira, NY; 2 stepsons: Michael Cook of Charleston, SC and Patrick Cook of Brooksville FL; 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.&nbsp; He was preceded in death by his 2 brothers, Donald and Gerald Brown and a sister, Jean Antes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Sunday, April 12, 2026 at 11:00 AM from the Hernando 7<sup>th<\/sup> Day Adventist Church with Mr. William Earnhart officiating.&nbsp; Military Honors will be offered on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 1:30 PM from Florida National Cemetery.&nbsp; Family and friends are invited to join the procession to the cemetery from the Chas. E.
