Losty"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>John J. Losty of Hernando, FL, the beloved husband of Marion Donafrio Losty, died in Ocala, FL, on March 30, 2026. John was born in Hartford, CT, the son of the late Joseph J. Losty and Helen McLaughlin Losty. John was a proud member of the Hartford Fire Department, retiring in 1985.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Besides his beloved wife and best friend of 67 years, Marion Donafrio Losty, he leaves a daughter, Pamela Losty Wrinkle and her husband, Stephen, of Hernando, FL; and two sons, Joseph Losty and Jodi, of Beverly Hills, FL, and Mark Losty and Barbara, of Hernando, FL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is also survived by four grandchildren: William DuFour and his wife, Ann, of Enfield, CT; Jessica Henriques and her husband, Dennis, of East Longmeadow, MA; Stephen Losty and his wife, Hannah, of Groton, CT; and Christopher Losty and Samantha of Colchester, CT. John also leaves behind four great-grandchildren: Austin, Nora, Nico, and Holland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Besides his parents, John was predeceased by his son, John J. Losty Jr.; his brother, James Walter Losty; and his sisters, Susan Durrenberger and Joann Terry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There will be no calling hours, and a private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chas.
