Cook, Jr."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>James Wesley Cook, Jr., age 88 of Floral City passed away March 28, 2026 at Vitas Hospice House in Lecanto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>James was born in Kennard, IN on June 27, 1937 to the late James W. Cook, Sr and Marybelle Farthing Cook and came to this area from Shirley, IN.&nbsp; Prior to retirement, he was employed at Brannen Banks for 15 years, having retired as an Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Left to cherish his memory are 4 children: Christopher Cook of Knightstown, IN; Kelly Keesling and husband Victor of Floral City; Jamie Smith of Floral City, and Jennifer Sparks and husband, Darron of Anderson, IN; 1 Sister, Kerry Beth Rodoker and her husband Jeff. 13 grand children and 27 great grandchildren.&nbsp; He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly \u201cBirdie\u201d Cook to whom he was married for 64 years.&nbsp; She passed away February 6, 2023. His daughter, Megan&nbsp; Robbins also preceded him in death on September 25, 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The family is planning a Celebration of Life on Thursday, April 2, 2026 from 2:00-6:00 PM at the residence of his daughter, Kelly Keesling, 6880 So.
