Matthew LeRoy Marston, age 65 of Inverness, FL passed away March 25, 2026 in his home under the loving care of his family. He is survived by his super-mega-foxy-awesome-hot wife Jennifer, and his four incredibly good looking and talented children, Derek, Taylor, Hartley, and Dallin, as well as his six grandchildren who were his pride and joy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Matt was born in Chula Vista, CA in 1960 to the late Mooney and Charlie Marston. He was the baby of the family and everyone knew he was the favorite. His later career as an intensive care unit nurse and his wife\u2019s love of the beach brought them to Inverness Florida. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Before becoming an ICU nurse, Matt spent years managing various businesses and restaurants. In his forties, he decided to change his career and pursue nursing. That career change not only became foundational inspiration in his kids\u2019 lives, but it positively affected the lives of his patients and fellow hospital staff over the years. He shared his dry and morbid humor at work and at the dinner table, and taught his kids that they never have to stick to one thing, they can grow and change at any point in life. He also created the tradition of talking about poop and death during dinner time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Matt was a loving husband and father, and overflowed with so much compassion it left no room for patience. He was an avid gardener who took pride in making sure his yard was the prettiest on the block. He was the greatest teacher of cooking, cleaning to his borderline OCD standards, fashion, music, and road rage. He absolutely adored his dogs, and spoiled them rotten. He was a great listener, and while his resting bitch face was top tier, his soul was as squishy as a marshmallow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At Matt\u2019s request, he preferred to be cremated so he could claim to be smokin\u2019 hot one last time. He also requested that we play the song \u201cAnother One Bites the Dust\u201d by Queen in remembrance of him. Chas. E.
