{"id":120037,"date":"2026-03-09T12:43:43","date_gmt":"2026-03-09T12:43:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chasdavis.com\/wordpress\/?p=120037"},"modified":"2026-03-13T12:52:31","modified_gmt":"2026-03-13T12:52:31","slug":"barbara-anne-cave","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chasdavis.com\/wordpress\/2026\/03\/09\/barbara-anne-cave\/","title":{"rendered":"Barbara Anne Cave"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Barbara Anne Cave, age 82, of Beverly Hills, FL, passed away peacefully at home on March 9, 2026, under the loving care of her family following a long illness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Barbara was born in Brooklyn, NY, on December 6, 1943, to the late Robert Wiggins and Rose Pritchard Wiggins. She attended high school in Brooklyn, where she met the love of her life, Thomas Edward Cave. The two married four years later and began building their life together. Barbara began her career as a Registered Nurse at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. After the birth of their children, Rose and Kevin, the family relocated to Baltimore, MD. Later in life, Barbara and her husband relocated to Florida from Baltimore. She dedicated many years to her career in nursing before retiring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Barbara had a love for learning and education and faithfully hosted a weekly Bible study in her home. She enjoyed singing and dancing\u2014especially to oldies but goodies. She was an amazing swimmer and also enjoyed crocheting and reading. Barbara loved watching her favorite Western movies and episodes of Law &amp; Order. After retiring, she and Tom enjoyed traveling together and spending time making memories. She was also a proud member of the Red Hat Society and the Afro-American Club of Citrus County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Barbara was a loving and devoted grandmother, known to her grandchildren lovingly as Nana. She cherished time with her family. She especially looked forward to her grandchildren visiting every summer, creating memories that will be treasured for years to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Barbara had a kind and generous heart and was known for her nurturing spirit. She often sent cards, gifts, and food to family and friends simply to let them know she was thinking of them. She always put others first and continued to think of those around her even during her final days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 60 years, Thomas Edward Cave of Beverly Hills; two children: Rose Smith of Stewartstown, PA and Kevin Cave Sr of Baltimore, MD; grandchildren: Britney, Kevin Jr., and Destiny; and great-grandchildren: Aiden and Kay\u2019vion. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Wiggins, in 2012.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home in Inverness, FL. Cremation will follow at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home Crematory.
