{"id":119748,"date":"2025-12-19T20:00:22","date_gmt":"2025-12-19T20:00:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chasdavis.com\/wordpress\/?p=119748"},"modified":"2026-01-12T21:09:59","modified_gmt":"2026-01-12T21:09:59","slug":"119748","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chasdavis.com\/wordpress\/2025\/12\/19\/119748\/","title":{"rendered":"Robert Edward &#8220;Bob&#8221; Nicholson"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Robert Edward Nicholson, age 95 of Hernando, Fl passed away at home on December 19, 2025.&nbsp; He was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 17, 1930 to the late Richter and Avis (Hedgepeth) Nicholson and came to this area in 1985.&nbsp; He served our country in the U.S. Navy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bob was a retired service engineer in air conditioning.&nbsp; He also was a member of the Masonic Lodge in New Hampshire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Muriel (Rothney) Nicholson of Hernando; 3 sons: Scott Nicholson of Leesburg, FL; Keith Nicholson of Lecanto; Gary Nicholson of Hudson, NH; 1 sister, Doris Boyer; 5 grandchildren, Scott, Kira, Kami, Leah, and Sydney and 11 great grandchildren, Annabelle, Avery, Amber, Ryan, Joshua, Samuel, Carlie, June, Holly, Levi and Lainey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Graveside services with military honors will be offered at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Friday, January 23, 2026 at 11:30 AM. The family will receive friends at Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home from 9:30 until 10:30 AM, at which time the procession to the cemetery will line up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Chas. E.
