Kay was born on August 14, 1935 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Herman Burkhardt and Vivian (Wieveg) Burkhardt. She was preceded in death by her loving brother William Burkhardt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She came to Citrus County in 1991 from Dayton, Ohio. She retired as a bank head teller after 30 years. Kay was an avid gardener who loved her flowers and worked in her garden every day. She also enjoyed traveling and was a devoted contributor to St. Jude Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Left to cherish her memory are her children Gordon Ash and Susan Ash of Elk Rapids, Michigan, Mark Ash and Dorthy Ash of Inverness, Florida and Brian Ash and Penny Ash of Church Hill, Tennessee. She had three grandchildren, Jana Ash of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Bradley Ash of Lake Panasoffkee, Florida and Corey Ash of Whitsett, North Carolina.&nbsp; She also has seven Great Grandchildren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Funeral Services of Remembrance will be held on Monday October 20, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home, Inverness with Pastor James Jones of the First Baptist Church of Sumterville, Florida officiating.
