Mr. Leslie Neal Rhodes of Floral City, FL passed away at his home while under the loving care of his family and Vitas Hospice on July 9, 2021 at the age of 69.\u00a0 He was born to the late Lloyd E. and Elsie M. (Keefer) Rhodes on November 17, 1951 in Hancock, MD.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Leslie made Floral City his home in 2009 after relocating from the east coast of Florida.\u00a0 He was a skilled woodworker and an extremely talented craftsman.\u00a0 Many of his woodworking creations including tables, hutches and built-in wall units are still being used in many restaurants and businesses on the east coast of Florida.\u00a0 Most recently, Leslie took part in the repainting and some maintenance of his sister and brother in law\u2019s church, the Fifth Street Church of Christ in Crystal River.\u00a0 He will be remembered by his family as a loving father and brother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Those left to mourn Leslie\u2019s passing include his daughter, Dawn Baughman and Phil; son, Richard Rhodes and Laurie; brothers: Harold \u201cDusty\u201d Rhodes, Joseph \u201cJoe\u201d Rhodes and his wife Linda; sisters: Kathleen Chastain and her husband Byron, Marian Johnson and Edith Rhodes. He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Rhodes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A Celebration of Leslie\u2019s life will take place at the Lecanto Church of Christ located at 797 S. Rowe Terrace, Lecanto, FL 34461 on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Friends are invited to join the family in visitation beginning at 10:30 AM until the hour of service. Cremation care by the Chas E.
