{"id":110141,"date":"2021-05-03T16:01:00","date_gmt":"2021-05-03T16:01:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chasdavis.com\/wordpress\/?p=110141"},"modified":"2025-06-02T16:03:58","modified_gmt":"2025-06-02T16:03:58","slug":"james-wilson","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chasdavis.com\/wordpress\/2021\/05\/03\/james-wilson\/","title":{"rendered":"James Wilson"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>James Clarence Wilson of Floral City, FL went to be with the Lord peacefully on May 3, 2021 at HPH Hospice House in Lecanto at the age of 88.&nbsp; He was born to the late Alfred and Eva (Rouse) Wilson in Worthington, MO on July 20, 1932.&nbsp; Prior to retirement, James worked as a cement contractor in the construction industry.&nbsp; He made Citrus County his home in 1971 after relocating from Rockford, IL.&nbsp; James enjoyed working with horses and had competed in many horse shows throughout the years and enjoyed fishing in his spare time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>James is survived by 4 children: Cherie Lynn Dayton of Macon, MO, Nicole (Wanda) Gibson of Rockford, IL, Michael Gibson and his wife Marsha of Rockford, IL, Brenda Garcia and husband Ricardo of Inverness, FL; daughter in law, Dori Wilson (Dennis) of Loves Park, IL; stepdaughter, Grace Cretty of Murphy, NC; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.&nbsp; He was preceded in death by his son, Dennis W. Wilson in 2015.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Private cremation arrangements are under the care of the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
